TIPS FOR BUYING USED GEAR
1. Find out why the equipment is being sold. Is there something wrong with it or does the owner just want to sell it or get new equipment for himself/herself?
2. Compare the asking price to similar used equipment for sale. You can do this by checking out classified ads and auction web sites. Used equipment depreciates with age, and you shouldn't pay too much for it.
3. Research the make and model of equipment to see if there has been any product recalls on it. You definitely don't want an unsafe piece of equipment.
