GETTING STARTED 1 (INTRODUCTION)

Spearfishing, accompanied by freediving, is not an ordinary free-time activity. It is a fairly new and extreme sport which has enthusiasts from all over the world. Spearfishing needs skill, training, physical strength, concentration, time and money of course, but above all you need to be informed and have a good command of its theory, safety being the most prominent, before setting out to practice this thrilling yet potentially dangerous sport.

Having enough money to buy the necessary gear and being an above average swimmer will surely make you start but this would neither make you a good hunter nor ensure your safety particularly while you are in an environment whose means and rules of survival are much different from that of yours on land.

Therefore, after your decision to take up spearfishing please try to get informed on the following issues:
